Kneecap: Film Screening & Solidarity Conversation

Manos Sagrados and Denver Film Present: KNEECAP, a film screening and solidarity conversation.

Kneecap

Sex, Drugs & Rap - and Revolution. Rich Peppiatt's cheeky movie is based on the true story of a trio of Northern Irish rappers collectively known as Kneecap.

When fate brings a Belfast teacher into the orbit of self-confessed "lowlife scum" Naoise and Liam Óg, the needle drops on a hip-hop act like no other. Rapping in their native Irish language, they soon lead a movement to save their mother tongue.

Rated R. Run time 1h 45m.

All ages, but please mind the rating!

Join Manos Sagrados and Denver Film for KNEECAP, with a film screening of the 2024 semi-autobiographical film of the Northern Irish rap trio. The group came into the spotlight in 2025 after declaring solidarity with Palestine on the Glastonbury stage, which led to a much larger discussion, not without backlash.

Join Bruce Trujillo as she leads a discussion with Harlan Kelly on Ireland’s relationship with the United States and occupied lands, followed by the film screening.

Many thanks to Denver Film for this partnership.
